Tonya Ramsey, Certified Life and Family Manager Coach
About Coach Tonya
Tonya Ramsey is a passionate woman who has dedicated herself to helping individuals build a foundation to their success. As a certified life and family manager coach she helps clients overcome obstacles and find the success they have been looking for in all areas of their life. Through her business Life By Design (LBD) Enterprises she provides one-on-one and group coaching, and classes in the areas of personal development, family management and business assistance. She feels that the keys to true success in every area of life come from having a healthy and strong sense of self to build upon and feels drawn to helping women and the mom community in realizing their power to make their dreams come true
Coach Tonya's passion to empower others is echoed in the roles she has taken on in the virtual community. She is involved in several online groups, such as Women and HOPE, where she is a part of a global effort to empower women through education and support. Her weekly internet radio show Journey to Self provides listeners practical information on how to live as their authentic self as they journey towards their goals.
Education is a very important part of Tonya’s life. She currently has her Associates degree from the University of Wisconsin, a certification in life/breakthrough coaching through the Center for Healing and Training, Inc., and was recently certified through the Family Manager University as a family manager coach. In addition to being an ongoing student of the Law of Attraction, Tonya is a full time student at the University of Wisconsin, where she will graduate with her Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Women's Studies in May 2009. In September 2009 she plans to enter the Masters in Counseling program at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater.
In 2007, Tonya was the second Women's Studies student to be awarded an undergraduate research grant in University of Wisconsin-Whitewater history.
She conducted an eight month research project of home-based women business owners, an underrepresented group in all research done to date on women in work. Her findings were presented at the 2008 Undergraduate Research Day on the UW-Whitewater campus, as well as at the April 2008 National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) at Salisbury University in Salisbury, Maryland.
Tonya Ramsey lives in Southern Wisconsin with her amazing partner Ben and their extraordinary 4-year-old son Logan. She enjoys making time to be with her family and credits her ability to be able to pursue her education and maintain her career to the teamwork and support that is cornerstone of their family.
